  3. Celine says:

    I’m currently reading Divergent, and I would probably match some kind of industrial kind of song to it. I chose Down With The Sickness by Disturbed, it sounds like something the Dauntless would like to listen to themselves (:

  4. Preet says:

    Okay, so I only have a handful of songs on my computer right now, but I’m going with a little older song for this book. My book is Allegiance by Cayla Kluver. I’m doing “If You’re Not The One” by Daniel Beddingfield. It may not fit the time setting so much, but I think the lyrics fit because the MC is fighting her feelings for someone. Whoo music! *fist pumps like she’s in Jersey Shore without the embarrassing jumping around*

  5. I had a hard time picking a song for my book. My book is The Bronze and the Brimstone by Lory Kaufman. It is about kids that go back in time to the renaissance.

    So for my song I chose Time Warp from Rocky horror, mostly because I thought it was funny and Rocky Horror is awesome. It doesn’t really match except for the title but I like it. haha

  6. This was a tough one! I’m just into the beginnings of ‘North of Beautiful’ by Justina Chen Headley which I’m seeing is about a girl who thinks she’s not pretty because of a birthmark on her face. I’m feeling that she wants to escape, travel, and get away from life, so I picked my song ‘Scavenger’ from my album, ‘Wild Birds:’

    I’m not too far into the book, but the main character, Terra, reminds me of a bird in that she wants to get away from home when things are tough, but I think she might come back in the end, just like the birds leave for the winter to get what they need, then finding themselves coming back home.

    Hope that makes sense! I’m really enjoying the book, but only on page 30, so not too far in!

  7. Melissa says:

    Great idea for a challenge! I don’t listen to music while reading but songs can certainly evoke certain feeling and I think I found the perfect one for my book!

  8. Vicky says:

    My current read is Tempest and my song choice would be this song. Since the book itself is about a guy who can travel back in time, it’d fit perfectly. :)

  10. My book is broken up into three stories, so I will give you a bonus of THREE sentence to songs!

    *BOOK- ‘DOUBLE TAKE TALES’ by Donna Brown

    * 1st story ‘Round Trip’
    * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fa3h3pnhg8s Leaving on a Jet Plane – Peter, Paul and Mary
    * It is PERFECT.. because you never know what a wrinkled 5 pound note will get you!

    * 2nd story ‘Poison’
    http://youtu.be/j46uF3Oka4I ’2 Nuts are on you’ Just the chorus (laughing my rear off… PERFECT for this story)
    * a wife, an unfaithful husband and a simple mistake.. awww NUTS…

    * 3rd story ‘C`est la vie’
    * Portal – Credits Song ‘Still Alive’
    * clinging on to life, in a way.. the song is appropriate because of who is singing it.. (if you need to know about who is singing it check here is “HER” name)

  22. Thilde Koll Espensen says:

    I am currently reading Exiled by Rashelle Workman
    Music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lg31XQR22zg
    Why? Because of the bond between 2 people in the book where it practically hurts for them to be apart.
